I think you are right, there are certain motherboard models (both AMD and Intel) that seem to have abnormally common problems with crashing Ada at Optimal power.
I'm at about 10W on two screens, and something like 5-7W on one screen, and Optimal power/Max perf makes no difference. In any case, if 30W is not bad enough to interfere with fan stop, is it something you could live with? imo it's not horrible, though definitely high for a single 1440p monitor. High mem clock is normal for Max perf or 3D load and accounts for most of the 30W of Max perf idle.
